squirrel summary

Squirrels have been found which are infected by “the plague” fleas.  They were discovered in Los Angeles by campground staff recently. The plague which infects the squirrels can be transmitted to humans through bites of infected fleas.

In the 14^th Century the Black Death as the disease is known killed 25 million people across Europe.

However there have been just 4 cases where humans have suffered from plague in Los Angeles since 1984
