There are many problems with existing energy sources

Non-renewable energy is an energy source that we can exhaust but cannot recreate in a short time, which includes the fossil fuels. Renewable energy sources include solar energy, wind power and geothermal energy.

There are several problems caused by over consumption of fossil fuels. To begin with ……………………….

 

Firstly, the prime cause is human activity such as over consumption of natural resources this is especially evident in metropolitan areas.

 

For example, less coal and oil resources is becoming a problem in every country.  Therefore many nations want to acquire more fossil fuels, subsequently, they start wars to obtain the oil.

 

For instance, using coal and oil will release a lot of carbon dioxide.  This causes global warming and climate change.

 

This triggers serious environmental contamination such as global warming, smog and climate change. We can easily see these disasters on TV or in newspapers daily.

 

People waste a lot of electricity every day because they do not turn off the lights when nobody is in the room or forget to switch off computers  when they are not using them.  This is problematic behavior which wastes the energy sources.

Finally, the problem is the high risk of using alternative energy sources, like nuclear energy. This may bring nuclear accidents, which could pollute the environment with radiation.

 

If governments do not start finding solutions and alternative energy sources, the problems will worsen.
